Susanna Spies is a seasoned comedienne and actress who has spent decades making audiences laugh onstage, on screen, and everywhere in between. Her credits include E-One Entertainment, Uncontrolled Comedy, NUVO TV’s Stand Up and Deliver, dozens of commercials, industrials, and independent films.

Her acclaimed one-woman shows, Waisted and The Dryer, have earned rave reviews. Waisted sold out in both New York and Los Angeles, while The Dryer showcased her versatility as she wrote and performed more than 30 original characters. A regular performer at some of the country’s most respected comedy venues, Susanna has taken the stage at The Improv, Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, along with clubs and theaters nationwide.

Beyond the stage, Susanna is the founder of Comedy Playground, LLC, established in 2002. Through her innovative comedy curriculum, she has taught thousands of young people, adults, senior citizens, and corporate teams how to find the funny in everyday life, build confidence, strengthen communication, and discover their own creative voices. Her student showcases have taken place at the world-famous Hollywood Improv, and Variety recognized her among the nation’s Top 10 leaders in innovative approaches to learning in its Educational Impact Report, as well as The LA Times feature story, October 2026.

Susanna continues to perform throughout both coasts. LA, she is a regular at The Improv in Hollywood, and performs at Flappers, Laugh Factory, Comedy Chateau, and independent rooms throughout LA. While in New York,credits including Broadway Comedy Club, Chelsea Music Hall, Rhino Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Laugh It Up, and Beacon Movie Theater. She also produces Friday Night Live in Cold Spring, NY.

Whether she’s performing, teaching, or coaching clients, Susanna brings humor, heart, and decades of experience to helping people find their voice, own their stories, and discover the power of their own funny.
